St Mary's Village is the only place the residents can call home. They come from different parts
of Kenya, and learn to live with the little they have. They love God and
since majority are limited in physical work, they take advantage of
keeping in touch with their creator. Every day is a God given gift and
it should be lived fully with thanksgiving.
Some of them do simple work such as cleaning the compound, watering flowers, making baskets and serving those who are not able.
Generally, the old ladies welcome those who visit them with
an attitude of appreciation. They crack jokes, sing to visitors and are
happy with service rendered to them.
